Expectation: Rethinking housing for cooperative solidarity in Fatih–İstanbul. We have designated the project area for our cooperative housing exercise, a 2630 square meter public property in one of the neighboring blocks of the Cistern of Mocius. A residential environment with a density of 400 p/ha [people per hectare] in this area.The expectation to allocate at least 40% of the area for public and/or common use. Producing housing solutions for 120 people with additional 1200-1300 sqm non-residential program components. Envision not just apartments but complex habitats in which people live, work, play, learn, exercise, produce, shop and share.
ANALYSIS
SITE PLAN
The main urban texture, pedestrianized roads and the structure added to these elements are designed to have the same texture.
The proposed project is designed as a part of this urban fabric relationship.
SITE decıons
The building is a part of the open spaces and common system that offers public uses along with the mosque, school, and existing land in its immediate surroundings It joins this stakeholder ( with the outflow of the spaces it has created within its own structure)
Decisions;
- Mera Street axis was pedestrianized up to Fahri Korutürk street, thus spatial quality was improved Bakırköy Anatolian High School and the area are afforested.
- The unity of the green area has been achieved by removing the wall between the mosque and the area.
-The existing sports area has been defined as an event park that can host various activities Integrity has been achieved with the seating area created within the scope of the project.
