PEOPLE-ORIENTED STREET

People create temporary spaces by referring to what they want from a city, neighborhood, or street. This is called pop-up urbanism and there is no governmentaction. The Los Angeles Parklet also aims to regain the street to people and extend 'thesense of belonging' to the street scale. It is enough for the public to use fast and cheaptools to show this feeling. This is because they simply create a social environment to talkand relax with these tools. Social areas can be anywhere, not just officially designated places.

In addition, this action enables public spaces to be rethinked in a desired way. Designers and planners use the public as a card for the city's long-term movements. This urbanism creates a way to test important and new concepts with the aim of improving human life in a sustainable way.
